Restoration

From the middle of the nineteenth century, cities have been characterized by the variety and beauty of cast iron elements used for urban decoration. Each city features a different typeof lamp post, and these respectively characterize the image and the urban history of many famous locations.
 
Neri has built up specific experience and skills when it comes to restoration, with a rigorous method and particular philological attention.
Restoration means trying to reconnect what has been interrupted, bringing back to life the identity of urban spaces, their uniqueness and the perceptive harmony of their settings. In cities where the original lamp posts have disappeared and it is therefore impossible to restore them, Neri suggests to reproduce the same objects. The cultural value of preserving the memory of these elements is equivalent to restoration sometimes.
