Stresa is a celebrated tourist resort on Lago Maggiore and is one of the most visited places in Piedmont. It arises in a magnificent position opposite the Isole Borromee and its elegant lakeside is thronged with luxurious hotels and historical villas.
Ever since 1930, the lakeside promenade has been illuminated by lamp posts bearing three lights, with floral decorations and cast iron bases. One of the lamp posts was designed especially for Stresa.
90 years later, given the condition of the lamp posts, restoration was necessary.
Neri has now restored the 50 original lamp posts, cleaning them to distinguish between integral and damaged parts. Each item saved has been catalogued and restored, integrating it where necessary with specially made identical elements.
The results were amazing and the promenade has now regained its ancient splendor
